The short version of how Firesale works, what it costs, and what stays your decision.
How does Firesale work?
You photograph the things you want gone, up to 60 photos in one go. Firesale sorts them into separate items, works out what each one is, writes the eBay title and description, and suggests a price from similar listings. You read the drafts and publish the ones you want. After that it answers simple buyer questions for you, brings you any offer that needs a decision, and emails you when something sells.
What do I need to do to list an item?
Take photos, and connect your eBay account once in Settings. Firesale writes the title and the description, picks the category and the condition, and estimates the shipping price. Your part is reading the draft and pressing publish.
How does Firesale know what my item is worth?
It searches eBay for similar listings, takes the middle of what they are asking, and suggests about 80% of that, so the item sells instead of sitting. You can change the price before you publish and while the listing is live. If it has not sold after two weeks we email you first, and lower the price the next day unless you tell us to keep it.
Where do my items get sold?
On eBay, under your own seller account. You connect it once, and payouts, seller history and buyer protection all stay with you. You can disconnect at any time. A German eBay account lists on ebay.de in euros; every other account lists on ebay.com in US dollars.
Do I keep control over the listing before it goes live?
Yes. Nothing reaches eBay until you press publish on a draft you have read. Before that you can group the photos differently, leave an item out, and change the price and the shipping price. Once a listing is live you can still change the price or end it.
What kinds of items can I sell with Firesale?
Everyday household things that fit in a parcel: tools, kitchen gear, electronics, sports kit, toys, instruments. eBay’s own rules still apply to your account and category, so some things cannot be listed there. If an item is too large or too unusual to price the postage for safely, Firesale says so and asks you for the shipping price instead of guessing.
Is there an app?
Yes. The Firesale iPhone app is in the US App Store and it is free. Outside the US, and on any phone that is not an iPhone, Firesale runs in your phone’s browser and you can take the photos straight from the page.
What does it cost?
Firesale is free. There is no subscription and no listing fee. When an item sells, eBay charges the usual seller fees for your account and category, and those go to eBay, not to us.
